We are pleased to announce the 1st Asan Head & Neck Reconstruction Workshop, to be held on November 5–8, 2025, in collaboration with the Korean Society of Computer Simulation Surgery.
This workshop will feature a distinguished international faculty, including Dr.Kongkrit Chaiyasate (USA), Dr. Ed Chang and Dr. Rene Largo (MD Anderson Cancer Center, USA), Dr. John Tzu (Austria), Dr. Parintosa Atmodiwirjo (Indonesia), and Dr. Gautam Biswas (India), alongside expert faculty from Asan Medical Center.
Over the course of four days, participants will engage in an immersive educational experience combining live surgeries, lectures, and interactive sessions. The program includes two full days of live surgery, featuring advanced reconstructive procedures such as maxillary and mandibular reconstruction, dynamic facial reanimation, nasal reconstruction, and dynamic tongue reconstruction.
Complementing these surgical demonstrations, a comprehensive lecture series will cover a wide range of topics—from basic flap elevation and microsurgical techniques to flap insetting strategies and advanced concepts in head and neck reconstruction. Special emphasis will be placed on ultrathin perforator free flaps and patient-specific reconstruction using 3D computer simulation.
A dedicated session on Computer Simulation Surgery will also explore cutting-edge technologies such as 3D simulation, 3D printing, augmented reality (AR), extended reality (XR), virtual reality (VR), and artificial intelligence (AI), as they relate to surgical planning and execution.
Our vision is to advance consistent, high-quality outcomes for patients with head and neck cancer and related conditions. By openly sharing our knowledge and experience, we aim to foster collaboration and innovation across the global microsurgical community.
We sincerely hope you will join us for this meaningful and enriching educational event.
Warm regards,
